In wrapping up my Reno-Sparks data for 1997, I thought the following dealer rating breakdown might be useful to other single-double deck players.

During 1997 I played with a total of 637 dealers. An A-Dealer is defined as 75% or more penetration and an F-Dealer as 65% or less penetration. Preferential shufflers, etc. are also F’s. C-Dealers are okay in some situations or I just haven’t played sufficiently to categorize.

The summary of the 637 dealers is:

Rating = Quantity (% of Total)

A = 104 (16.3%)
C = 321 (50.4%)
F = 212 (33.3%)

I also categorize dealers by apparent age as shown:

Age Range = % of Total (% of total A-Dealers)

20’s = 11.0% (11.5%)
30’s = 37.0% (27.9%)
40’s = 32.8% (33.7%)
50’s = 15.9% (20.2%)
60’s = 3.3% (6.7%)

I also categorize dealers by gender as shown:

Gender = % of Total (% of total A-Dealers)

Female = 77.7% (79.8%)
Male = 22.3% (20.2%)

Analysis: Forget the young female blondes, look for the gray-haired Grandmas?
