Huh? It may be 'impractical', but why not just resize to the nearest green (or black) chip, or other convenient "rounding". I'm sure not going to wait until I lose half my bank before I resize.
Or set one's set of bets such that the Kelly bankroll requirement is somewhat significantly less than one's bankroll, say, 75% or 80%. Then one can lose 20% or 25% of bankroll before having to resize at all.
Of course, one might like to play it "closer to the vest" to maximimize gain, but I prefer to be able to sleep peacefully. Just my preference.
