Of course, "exact" indices for playing decisions would not be terribly practical, right? Who's going to
memorize all those "exact" numbers? Keeping my 54 integer indices immediately recallable is enough of a bother.I didn't mean that you would emmorize all the exact ones. I only menat that if the indeces were published in that form, then someone could make their own rounding decisions. Thus avoiding the porblem that you voiced eloquently ... that you may be playing with one rounding convention using indeces designed for another ...
Actually one might memorize, Stand when the TC is stricly gretaer than X, or Stand whent the TC rounds to above X ... or things like that. Not for all the plays (I don't think I use anywhere near 54 indeces) but for the more important ones.
