BlackJack Tips For Live Tables

Recently we have had questions on basic strategy for playing live blackjack. Here are some basic tips on how to play for begginers. We will have more advanced topics coming soon.

Summary of Basic Blackjack Strategies.
0. NEVER TAKE INSURANCE!
1. If you have a 10 or and 11 you double down.
2. If the dealers up card is a 7 or higher and you are holding a 12-16 then hit. You should stand if the dealers card is less than 7.
3. You have a soft 17 or lower then hit.
4. You have a soft 19 then stand.
5. Split all pairs when the dealers upcard is less than 6.
6. Always split Aces and Eights.
7. If the total of your cards equals 9 or lower you should always take a hit.
8. If you have a soft 13 to 18. You should double down if the dealers upcard is a 5 or a 6.

This basic strategies should help your odds. It may take practice to get the rules down.

I'm glad to see that you are up and blogging!

I used to play quite a bit in 2000-2001 both in LV and on the Mississippi Gulf Coast. Had some backoffs and one or two '86's.

I left the Mississippi Gulf Coast back in mid-2001 and, looking back on it, am so glad that I did.

The Gold Shore (Mold Shore) is but a memory, now replaced by the wreck of the (P)Resident washed inland by Katrina's tidal surge but I will always treasure those times at the tables.
